Fans can look forward to seeing Goldberg back on WWE television in the near future.
Goldberg previously announced on ESPN’s College Gameday that he would have his retirement match in WWE this year. Goldberg last wrestled in 2022 in a loss to Roman Reigns at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE.
In interviews, he claimed that Vince McMahon promised him a retirement match if he would put over Reigns. While he did the honors, WWE let Goldberg’s contract expire without booking him in one final bout.
He had a confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at Bad Blood. This seemingly set up his retirement match, although no date is known.
Dave Meltzer reports that Goldberg will be on the fourth Netflix Raw, which comes from Atlanta on January 27. Although not confirmed, it’s believed WWE will do another angle to make the match official.
