It’s been rumored for many weeks and it was finally confirmed today that WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 7. The show will take place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah and will air live on the WWE Network.
In WWE’s announcement on their website, they announced eight top Superstars scheduled to appear on the show. The names are Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, Kofi Kingston, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.
Goldberg was likely booked at the request of the Saudi Crown Prince who is a long-time WWE fan. The same likely applies to names like The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.
The is no name yet for this show and ticket information is not yet available. This would be WWE’s third show in a lucrative 10-year deal. WWE has received criticism for dealing with the Saudi government after the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. The revenue from each Saudi Arabia show brings in more than what the company makes for WrestleMania so that is why the relationship has continued.
