Goldberg has put his body through a lot over the course of his life from playing football to pro wrestling. With that, comes damage and sometimes surgery is required to fix injuries.
The WWE Hall Of Famer was recently a guest on The Pat McAfee Show. This is where he noted that he needs shoulder surgery, but will wait until he’s done wrestling for good to get it done.
He first brought up how his match with Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel was the longest time WWE has given him to prepare and the fans saw the results of his hard work in the gym.
“I felt pretty good. I won’t tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years and I need surgery. I’ll get it when I’m done, I’ll get it when I’m finished. If Vince [McMahon] calls me tomorrow morning and says, ‘Goldberg, we need you in a month.’ What am I going to do if I get surgery? I’ll get it done when it’s time.”
Goldberg also confirmed in this interview that he has one more match left on his current WWE contract. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found around the 1:56:14 mark):
