Goldberg is preparing for his next match under the WWE banner as he will work a No Holds Barred match against Bobby Lashley at WWE Crown Jewel next week.
The WWE Hall of Famer lost to Lashley at WWE SummerSlam via referee stoppage after Lashley targeted Goldberg’s knee. WWE later announced Goldberg had suffered ligament damage and would require surgery.
The surgery was apparently needed despite Goldberg working the SummerSlam match. Before and throughout the bout, Goldberg did have a noticeable limp.
Goldberg recently stated on the CarCast podcast and during it, he noted he wouldn’t be fully healed.
“Knee’s much better. Hopefully it’ll be — I won’t be completely healed by then [Crown Jewel] but it’ll be, suffice to say, in good enough shape to kick Bobby [Lashley’s] ass. Let’s just say that.”
Goldberg has one more match left on his current WWE deal that expires next year.
