There are reports stating that Peacock has edited out a blackface segment with Goldust from the Attitude Era.
Dave Meltzer stated the following in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: “Peacock and WWE Network are evidently editing out segments from the late 90s with Goldust wearing black paint on his face.”
As of this writing, the segment is still up on Peacock but based on some recent edits to shows, it’s likely that the Goldust segment will be removed.
For context, during that time period, Goldust was coming out every week with a different gimmick and it was said by the announcers that he was looking for attention. Goldust was in a bit of a transition from the original version of the character to a more outrageous version that was more fit for the Attitude Era. On the 1/5/98 episode of Raw, Goldust painted his face and wore a wig during his match with Flash Funk (2 Cold Scorpio).
