The numbers are on for the NXT show that aired on the USA Network this week. NXT, as part of WWE Week, aired on the USA Network on Wednesday night and it drew 841,000 viewers.
If you consider the fact that the show was not heavily promoted and the fact that it also aired on the WWE Network without commercials and the fact that it aired at 7 pm instead of the more favorable 8 pm timeslot, WWE should be happy with that number. If they were to air the show after 8 pm then I would bet that they could draw more than 1 million viewers.
NXT on USA was a one-time thing but it may have opened the door for them to air NXT specials on regular cable and it could help WWE sell the show to cable outlets or a streaming platform.
