GUNTHER: “Let’s See How Far I Can Push It With The Chops Until Things Fall Apart”

On a recent episode of his podcast, The Undertaker paid GUNTHER the ultimate compliment, stating that the “Ring General” is the one active superstar he would consider coming out of retirement to face in a dream match. GUNTHER, who was the guest on the show, gave his live reaction to the massive praise and shared how he would approach such a colossal encounter.

For years, a match between the hard-hitting GUNTHER and the legendary “Phenom” has been at the top of many fans’ wish lists. While it remains a fantasy, the mutual respect between the two performers has added a new layer of intrigue to the dream pairing.

A Young Boy’s Dream

GUNTHER was clearly moved by The Undertaker’s comments. Speaking on Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, he acknowledged the dynamic of the potential matchup, positioning himself as the “young boy” in the scenario who would have to rise to the occasion.

“Oh yeah, for sure. I mean, I would need to listen, He’s the same. I’m the young boy in that.”

His response showcases a classic, old-school respect for the veterans who paved the way. Despite being one of the most dominant and respected performers on the current roster, GUNTHER immediately deferred to The Undertaker’s legendary status.

A Hard-Hitting Affair

When asked what the match would look like, GUNTHER detailed his strategic and physical approach. He joked that he would demand to come out second to ensure he stayed warm after The Undertaker’s famously long entrance. He then stated that he would test the legend’s physical limits with his signature, brutal chops.

“I would definitely cut a promo where I demand to walk out second in that match, because if I walk out first, after that entrance, I’m cool down again… I think I would have pushed it just for my entertainment. Let’s see how far I can push it with the chops until things fall apart… It would have been good. It would have been a really good match.”

While a match between the two remains highly unlikely, GUNTHER is currently one of the top stars on Monday Night Raw. He is fresh off the longest Intercontinental Championship reign in WWE history, a run that has firmly established him as a main-event-caliber performer worthy of such a fantasy showdown.
