Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther recently sat down with Cody Rhodes on the latest episode of What Do You Want To Talk About? to discuss the trajectory of his closest peers. During the conversation, “The Ring General” turned his attention to his “best friend” and former Imperium stablemate, Ludwig Kaiser.
When asked by Rhodes if Kaiser was capable of achieving major success, Gunther did not hesitate. He highlighted Kaiser’s verbal skills and natural stage presence as attributes that could eventually lead him to Hollywood. According to Gunther, Kaiser’s versatility with languages and his flair for performance make him a natural candidate for acting.
“Yeah, 100 percent,” Gunther responded. “I think he’s underratedly charismatic and he’s a really good talker. Like, I always tell him, it’s like, you need to go to Hollywood at some point, because he’s got something for the whole acting thing. Like, I always tell him, I think he would have been an amazing, like, theater actor or something like that. Because he’s very talented with languages, too.”
Beyond his professional admiration, Gunther spoke about the personal importance of his relationship with Kaiser. While Gunther also mentioned receiving “big picture” advice from Paul Heyman, it is Kaiser who serves as his primary confidant within the locker room. Cody Rhodes, while noting he does not know Kaiser well on a personal level, agreed that the star’s in-ring performance is top-tier and that he has immense potential within WWE.
The praise comes at a time of significant character evolution for Kaiser. Though he and Gunther are no longer aligned on-screen, Kaiser has found a new spotlight under the mask as El Grande Americano. This persona has led him into a rivalry with Chad Gable, who previously utilized the same gimmick. In addition to his work on Friday Night SmackDown, Kaiser has taken the Americano character to AAA, showcasing the very versatility and “acting” range that Gunther described.
