GUNTHER: Randy Orton Wasted A Lot Of Potential

GUNTHER and Randy Orton are on a collision course for another match, this time with a notable title on the line.

Gunther defeated Orton in the King of the Ring finals earlier this year. However, there was controversy as Orton’s shoulder was up when the referee counted the pinfall. Coming out of that show, Triple H said they would run it back when Orton was healthy.

Gunther is set to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton at WWE Bash In Berlin later this month. Speaking to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Gunther discussed the upcoming match in character.

“I think Randy’s career is undeniable. On the other hand, we have to be honest here. He was destined to be the greatest of all time. All the bad decisions he made in his career and the issues he had, he still is one of the greatest, but he wasted a lot of potential. I’m not in the business of wasting potential. I think I overexceeded in a lot of ways and Randy is the opposite. Even though he achieved a lot, I still think he underachieved for the talent that he has.”
