GUNTHER Reaches Historic Milestone With Latest WWE World Title Defense

Following his victory over Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event, World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has joined Hulk Hogan in an exclusive and historic category.

With his successful title defense in Goldberg’s retirement match, GUNTHER is now one of only two superstars in WWE history to have defended a world championship three or more times on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The only other person to achieve this feat is WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, who frequently defended the WWE Championship during the show’s original and highly popular run in the 1980s and early 1990s. GUNTHER is the first superstar of the modern era to reach this milestone since the program’s revival.
