As was noted earlier, Hangman Adam Page was injured during the main event of AEW Dynamite. Page challenged World Champion Jon Moxley but the match was cut short because Page landed badly after taking a lariat.
Doc Sampson rightfully told the referee that the match had to be stopped and they had other trainers out there to check on him.
What the cameras did not show was that the ropes had to be loosened so that they could take Page out on a stretcher.
There were about 10 minutes left in the show when the injury occurred. The cameras did not shoot anything close up and they instead focused on Moxley.
To fill for time, Excalibur ran down next week’s matches, and then they sent MJF out to announce that he would challenge Moxley for the World Title at Full Gear. That segment may have already been planned or an audible was called to announce it tonight rather than a future Dynamite.
We send our best wishes to Hangman Page and we hope for a total recovery.
