“Hardest Grind That I Could Ever Imaginable”: Dave Bautista On How WWE Prepared Him For Hollywood

Dave Bautista, known to WWE fans as Batista, has offered a stark comparison between a professional wrestler’s rigorous life and Hollywood’s demands. The former multi-time WWE Champion, whose final match was against Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, has since made a name for himself as a Hollywood actor, notably as Drax in “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

During a Film Inside interview for his movie In the Lost Lands, Bautista credits his strong work ethic to his WWE tenure. He described the wrestling grind as incredibly tough, stating, “My work ethic really came from the WWE… it’s just the hardest grind that I could ever imagine.”

He added, “Being in Hollywood and being on a film set, it’s long hours, but compared to the grind of being a professional wrestler, it’s just a cakewalk. I mean, it’s night and day. I don’t relate to that at all.” Bautista expressed gratitude for his opportunities, a mindset forged by his challenging WWE journey. “I’m happy to be here… I’m grateful to be able to do what I love.”
