WWE has announced that Harlem Heat will be inducted into this year’s Hall Of Fame class. This would be Booker T’s second time being inducted as he is also part of the 2013 class of inductees.
Booker T and Stevie Ray were one of the top tag teams of the 1990s. They got their start in Texas with the Global Wrestling Federation as the Ebony Experience.
In 1993, they moved to WCW and quickly ascended up the card to become WCW World Tag Team Champions on several occasions. In 1997, they split up to embark on singles careers but they reunited once again in 1999. Booker became a singles star towards the end of WCW and Stevie Ray’s career basically ended when WWE purchased WCW.
Harlem Heat will join DX, The Honky Tonk Man and Torrie Wilson on the list of names already announced for this year’s ceremony. The Hart Foundation (Jimmy Hart, Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) are also rumored to be getting inducted this year.
This year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 6 at the Barclays Center on the night before WrestleMania 35.
