It was rather unexpected to see Daniel Bryan pop up on Raw this week. He was there to speak to Kurt Angle about how much he disapproved of taking Raw under siege last week. But Kurt Angle wasn’t buying it. Even though Bryan claims he was there to play peacemaker it didn’t sound like Kurt Angle was buying it much. After all, WWE’s two teams are currently at war leading to Survivor Series.
Angle didn’t want to hear it and told Danel Bryan he would send him out into the hallway but the Raw roster would “chew him alive” if he did which makes you have to wonder how D-Bry got in Angle’s office in the first place. Kurt Angle ordered Daniel Bryan to stay in his office and apparently locked him in there.
The lights soon went out on Daniel Bryan as he was talking on the phone and before he knew it Kane’s hand was around his neck and he went crashing off into the darkness. Although Daniel Bryan probably didn’t take a bump at all, his character did.
WWE.com released a statement saying: “WWE.com has learned that SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan was taken to a local medical facility to undergo further evaluation following a brutal surprise attack by Kane on Monday Night Raw.”
So he’ll probably be okay but it was certainly an interesting spot to insert a Team Hell No beat down on a guy who can’t wrestle.
