Here’s what happened in the House of Horrors match at WWE Payback

If you missed WWE Payback, then you missed the first-ever House of Horrors match. Don’t worry because we have a rundown of what happened in this “match.”

Things started with Randy Orton in a limousine arriving at a remote house. As he gets out of the limo, a tractor is seen driving across the grass but there was no one driving it. This was shot like a movie with blue lighting and music. Orton then walks in the house and Wyatt attacks him from behind. Wyatt then disappears. Orton walks down a corridor and a hand grabs him by the throat. Orton gets free and goes into the next room where we see a bunch of baby dolls hanging from the ceiling. Wyatt attacks Orton again and they both crash through a wall.

Wyatt disappears again as Orton looks for him in another room and we see red lights flickering and the sound of a baby crying. Orton and Wyatt fight again in a dirty, grungy-looking kitchen and a refrigerator falls on Orton. Wyatt eventually makes it outside of the house and he does his trademark pose in the grass as the lights illuminating the house turn red. At this point, we’re supposed to think that Orton is done. Wyatt then leaves in Randy Orton’s limousine, apparently thinking that he got the job done. He tells the driver to take him to the arena. They cut back to the arena and Michael Cole reminds us that a winner must be determined in the ring by pinfall, submission or forfeiture so it looks like, according to Cole, that Wyatt will get a win via forfeit.

They move on to the Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe match so they can give Orton and Wyatt time to make it back to the arena. In actuality, the stuff that took place at the house was taped on Saturday. The limo arrives backstage after the Rollins vs. Joe match. Wyatt’s music plays and he comes out to the ring while selling the beating he took from when he was in the house earlier. The announcers assume that he will win via forfeiture. As usual, when the announcers telegraph something then that means the opposite of whatever they are saying.

The lights come on and Orton appears behind Wyatt with a chair in hand and he uses it on Wyatt’s back. Orton was about to finish Wyatt with the RKO but The Sing Brothers attacked him. That gave Wyatt time to set up for Sister Abigail but Orton reverses and hits the RKO. Jinder Mahal shows up and nails Orton with the WWE Championship. Jinder hits Orton again in the back and that allows Wyatt to hit Sister Abigail. He gets the pin and the feud is over. Orton will defend the WWE Championship the WWE Backlash pay-per-view.
