Hornswoggle offered high praise for two polarizing figures in modern professional wrestling: Logan Paul and AEW star Darby Allin. Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Hornswoggle argued that both men have earned their spots at the top of the industry.
Logan Paul Is No Longer Just A Celebrity
Hornswoggle stated that Logan Paul has transcended the “celebrity” label and should be recognized as a legitimate member of the WWE roster. He emphasized that Paul’s continued spotlight is proof of his ability.
“I say it almost weekly, Logan Paul is not a celebrity anymore. Logan Paul is a WWE Superstar,” Hornswoggle declared. “It’s funny to think that way. Go back two years ago, if I said that, I would have gotten hate after hate after hate. You cannot deny Logan Paul as a WWE superstar… If he sucked, that spotlight would be turned off. Simple.”
Darby Allin Is A Superhero
Switching to AEW, Hornswoggle singled out Darby Allin as the talent he most wants to see succeed. He shared a personal story about Allin’s impact on his son, Landon.
“Darby Allin, I would love to see on the absolute top of the mountain,” Hornswoggle said. “Darby Allin to my son, is like, it’s the first superhero, like hero in wrestling he ever had. And when I would go visit AEW and take Landon to AEW shows, Darby would come right up to him, and it just made his day.”
Regarding concerns about Allin’s high-risk style, Hornswoggle compared him to a thrill-seeker who simply loves what they do. “If that’s what he wants to do, no one’s forcing him to do this stuff. He loves it. He has that rush. It’s a skydiver.”
