Hornswoggle is the guest on this week's episode of "The Ross Report" with Jim Ross.
Hornswoggle talked about the work done on his shoulder and knee before he returned to work with El Torito. His wellness policy failure happened later in the year. We've talked about this on the site but his wellness failure was because he was not able to provide a urine sample during their 3-hour window so he did not fail because of anything found in his system. He said that he fully understands that not providing a urine sample constitutes a wellness failure and he has no gripes with the company about that but he wasn't happy with the wording from WWE because he is not a drug user. He added that he is fully on board with WWE's wellness policy because it keeps people healthy and he thinks it's been helping people with career longevity. Ross said that he thinks it's a way to protect the talent from themselves.
He said that he's been off the road for over a year. He said that he lasted 10 years with WWE and he is grateful because when he was hired by the company, he was told that it would be just for a 6-month stint.
He said that he's been off the road for over a year. He said that he lasted 10 years with WWE and he is grateful because when he was hired by the company, he was told that it would be just for a 6-month stint. He was asked if he had ever thought about leaving WWE anytime during his run. Just like most people, he had those thoughts at times especially when he wasn't being used much but he said it would have been a dumb move to make.
He talked about being paralyzed at 6 years old because of scoliosis and doctor's telling him to limit his physical activity. He noted that he doesn't have any serious back issues except for normal aches and pain. He said that his father is always worried about him taking a bad bump and ending up paralyzed one day.
He noted that he wants to stay in the wrestling business and he would love to do TV shows and another movie. He got the acting itch after doing the Leprechaun movie for WWE Studios but his love of wrestling will never leave his heart.
One of the Twitter questions was about WWE's creative for him. He said that he wasn't crazy about dressing as a cow or dressing in a diaper as a New Year's baby but there was never anything that really bothered him and he enjoyed most of the stuff he was asked to do by the company.
He credits Brian Myers (former WWE star Curt Hawkins) for getting him booked on a bunch of shows just hours after his WWE release. Postl is available for conventions, independent shows, acting gigs, etc. at BookHornswoggle@gmail.com.
