WWE’s NXT brand presents its annual summer supercard, Heatwave, tonight, Sunday, August 24, 2025. The event will broadcast live from the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts, and for the first time, will feature wrestlers from WWE’s partner promotion, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

NXT Heatwave will be available to stream live in the United States on Peacock. International viewers can watch the event on Netflix or the WWE Network in markets where the service is still available. The main card is scheduled to begin at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT.
Full Match Card and Storylines
- NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans
- Storyline: After receiving advice from The Undertaker to “go after the biggest dog in the yard,” Je’Von Evans set his sights on the NXT Championship. This led to a confrontation with TNA World Champion Trick Williams, who also had his eyes on Oba Femi’s title. Evans defeated Williams in a number one contender’s match to earn this championship opportunity.
- TNA Knockouts World Championship Triple Threat Match: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Ash by Elegance
- Storyline: At TNA Slammiversary, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated Masha Slamovich in a “Winner Takes All” match to also capture the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Both Slamovich and Ash by Elegance had claims to a title shot, and after a series of interferences and brawls on both NXT and TNA programming, this three-way match for the TNA title was made.
- NXT Tag Team Championship: Hank and Tank (c) vs. Two members of DarkState
- Storyline: For months, the mysterious faction known as DarkState has been launching attacks on various members of the NXT roster, including the NXT Tag Team Champions, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. After DarkState took credit for a previous backstage assault on the champions, Hank and Tank demanded a match, leading to this title defense at Heatwave.
- Singles Match: Jordynne Grace vs. Blake Monroe
- Storyline: Blake Monroe made her NXT debut by aligning with TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace. However, at the Evolution PLE, Monroe turned on Grace, attacking her with the NXT Women’s Championship and costing her the match. The betrayal sparked a personal rivalry, with both women attacking each other on subsequent episodes of NXT, leading to this grudge match.
- Number One Contender’s Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women’s Championship: Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice
- Storyline: With Jacy Jayne holding both the NXT and TNA women’s titles, the line of challengers has grown. Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice all stated their intentions to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship, leading to arguments between the three. NXT General Manager Ava announced this triple threat match, with the winner earning a future title opportunity.
- Mixed Tag Team Match: Chelsea Green and Ethan Page vs. Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights
- Storyline: After debuting a custom Canadian-themed NXT North American Championship, Ethan Page’s promos about Canada’s superiority drew the ire of Tavion Heights. This led to the involvement of SmackDown’s The Secret Hervice, with fellow Canadian Chelsea Green siding with Page. Heights then introduced Tyra Mae Steele as his partner, and after a “peace treaty” between the two countries failed, this mixed tag team match was made.
