The dominant NXT Champion, Oba Femi, looks to continue his reign of terror over the brand, but he faces a new and powerful threat from the world of Pro Wrestling NOAH. After Femi’s last successful title defense, Japanese powerhouse Yoshiki Inamuranx declared his intention to challenge for the gold. Inamura then defeated Jasper Troy in a hard-fought number one contender’s match to officially earn his shot at Femi and the NXT Championship.
Ethan Page (c) vs. Ricky Saints – Falls Count Anywhere Match for the NXT North American Championship
“All Ego” Ethan Page has been a fighting champion since winning the NXT North American Title, but his rivalry with the charismatic Ricky Saints has become intensely personal. After a series of chaotic brawls that have spilled all over the WWE Performance Center, this championship match has been made a Falls Count Anywhere match, ensuring there will be nowhere for either man to run or hide.
Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley) – Tag Team Match
This match stems from the chaos surrounding the NXT Women’s Championship. After Jacy Jayne won the title, the debuting Blake Monroe (formerly Mariah May) confronted her, leading to a beatdown from Jayne’s faction, Fatal Influence. Jordynne Grace, who has also been targeted by the group and is challenging Jayne for the title at Evolution, evened the odds by coming to Monroe’s aid. This impromptu alliance will now face Jayne and her partner Fallon Henley.
Sol Ruca (c) vs. Izzi Dame – Singles match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship
Izzi Dame earned this championship opportunity through a combination of timely interference and a key victory. After Tatum Paxley accidentally cost Zaria a qualifying match against Dame, a tag team match was set. In that bout, Dame and Paxley defeated the team of Zaria and current NXT Women’s North American Champion, Sol Ruca, with Dame getting the pinfall on the champion herself. That pinfall earned her a one-on-one match for the title today.
Je’Von Evans vs. Jasper Troy
Two of NXT’s brightest young stars will look to make a name for themselves in this singles encounter. Both Je’Von Evans and Jasper Troy have had impressive showings in recent weeks, and a victory at a major premium live event like The Great American Bash could be the launching pad one of them needs to enter the championship picture.
TNA World Championship Contract Signing
In a special segment showcasing the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling, a contract signing will be held for the TNA World Championship match scheduled for their upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view. NXT’s Trick Williams will be on hand as he prepares to defend his TNA World Title against two challengers, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.
