The main event for WWE Fastlane is now set. Goldberg will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at Fastlane on 3/5. The match became official after Goldberg came out during Kevin Owens’ and Chris Jericho’s in-ring segment. Jericho accepted the match on behalf of Owens and Owens didn’t seem to happy about that. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman will also take place at Fastlane.
In addition to that, a big match for WrestleMania is set. Most of us have known about the match for weeks but, on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, the match became official. Brock Lesnar will face Goldberg for the final time at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
The Mania match is the last match under Goldberg’s current deal. That doesn’t necessarily give away the result of the match because he could always sign on for more matches but my guess is that Lesnar will defeat Goldberg since this is supposed to be the end of the feud and they have more long-term mileage to get out Lesnar than Goldberg.
As of now, the only matches announced for WrestleMania are Lesnar vs. Goldberg and Randy Orton will challenge for the WWE Championship on the Smackdown side of things. If you want spoilers on matches that will be added to the WrestleMania card, click here.
