Although Hulk Hogan’s appearance on WWE Raw did not go as planned, he is being brought in for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Hogan’s Raw on Netflix appearance went viral as fans heavily booed him to the point that various outlets picked up the moment.
Hogan was on Raw to hype the show and promote his Real American Beer, one of WWE’s new sponsors. There had been some talk that fans may not see him as often on television from now on.
This comes after Fightful was told that Hogan had been slated to make several future appearances before the segment. He filmed a voiceover for the latest SNME hype video package.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Hogan is slated to be on Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th. It’s unclear what exactly WWE has planned for him. This is also surprising, considering Jesse Ventura, who will be at the show to make an appearance, doesn’t like Hogan because Hogan tipped off Vince McMahon about Ventura’s plans to try to start a union back in the day.
“So Hogan’s gonna be on that show, the January 25. When Hogan was shown on the screen in the building, they booed like crazy. It’s going to be interesting. Do they put him in front of the crowd and risk him being booed, or does he come out and maybe the crowd doesn’t boo? I don’t know. The other interesting one is Hogan and Jesse.”
Melter continued, “I don’t expect any problems. They’re both like, you know, Jesse 73 and Hogan 71 you know? I mean, I’m sure Jesse will never like Hulk Hogan, and I don’t think Hulk Hogan will ever like Jesse.”
