We noted this week that Hulk Hogan is being advertised for the July 12th show in Osaka, Japan. That is also the show when WWE will make the official announcement that KENTA is signing with the company.
Hogan is said to be under a substantial guaranteed deal with WWE that also allows him to take outside bookings, reports Dave Meltzer. The report also notes that Hogan gets a high-dollar rate per appearance.
Hogan is still allowed to accept outside bookings but WWE has the right to book him first if he’s needed on the same day. Hogan did an appearance on June 28th at the Assembly Sports Club in Somerville, MA and was was booked through John Cena, Sr’s Millennium Wrestling Federation. He was actually just minutes away from the TD Garden where WWE was running Money In The Bank so WWE could have used Hogan on the show if they wanted but they opted not to.
