Hulk Hogan & Real American Beer Get Sued By Woman Over Alleged Head Injury Incident

Hulk Hogan and his beer company, Real American Beer, are facing a lawsuit from an Akron, Ohio, woman who claims she was struck in the head with a sealed can of beer last August.

FOX 8 reports that the lawsuit, filed on Monday, alleges “negligence causing injury” after a sealed beer can was thrown approximately 50 feet, hitting the woman in the forehead near her hairline. The incident occurred on August 19, 2024, at Thirsty Cowboys during a Real American Beer promotional event.

“It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with a can of beer,” said Attorney Eric Tayfel, who is representing Michelle Harlukowicz. He noted that she required stitches and would have some permanent scarring.

According to the lawsuit, Hogan and promoters hyped the crowd by tossing free cans to attendees. Harlukowicz was standing near the back wall by the dance floor when she was allegedly hit. Her attorney stated that she never saw the can coming.

Photos of the injury show a can-shaped wound on Harlukowicz’s forehead, requiring nearly ten stitches. Medina Township Police responded to the incident but did not file charges, as they were unable to determine who threw the can.

The lawsuit alleges that either Hulk Hogan or one of the other promoters threw the sealed can. Thirsty Cowboys and its owner, Aaron Lind, are also named in the suit. The plaintiffs argue that the venue is responsible for booking the promoters and ensuring the safety of its patrons.

Harlukowicz is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
