Eric Servis, known to generations of wrestling fans as the ultimate Hulk Hogan superfan “Roddy Hogan,” has passed away. The news was announced by the Cauliflower Alley Club on Monday, July 21.
Servis was a beloved and recognizable figure in the wrestling community for decades, famous for his dedicated and uncanny impersonation of his hero, Hulk Hogan. With his signature red and yellow attire, handlebar mustache, and bandana, Servis was a fixture at major wrestling events, meet-and-greets, and conventions across the country.
A Lifelong “Hulkamaniac”
For years, Roddy Hogan was a constant presence at WCW and WWE events, often seen in the front row cheering on his idol. His resemblance to Hogan and his enthusiastic persona made him a fan-favorite in his own right, and he was often shown on camera during broadcasts. He became a well-known personality, particularly in the Florida wrestling scene where he lived.
Over the years, Servis turned his passion into a career, making official appearances as Roddy Hogan and meeting with fans. He developed a close, personal friendship with Terry Bollea, the man behind the Hulk Hogan character. The two were frequently photographed together, and Hogan publicly acknowledged Servis’s unwavering support on multiple occasions.
A Fixture in the Wrestling Community
Beyond his connection to Hulk Hogan, Servis was a friend to many in the professional wrestling industry and a beloved member of the fan community. Tributes from wrestlers and fans began pouring in on social media following the announcement of his passing, with many sharing photos and fond memories of their encounters with him at shows over the past 30 years.
The Cauliflower Alley Club, a non-profit organization comprised of wrestling industry members, celebrated his life in their announcement. Servis was a regular attendee of their annual reunion events in Las Vegas, where he was known for his positive energy and love for the wrestling business.
