During this morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez talked about the recent outbreak at the Performance Center. This did not affect most of the main talent on NXT but one person had to be pulled from the show.
Meltzer noted that the mystery person who helped out Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae during Halloween Havoc was Indi Hartwell. For those of you that missed it, the mystery person interfered and helped Gargano win the North American Championship from Damian Priest. In the main event, the same mystery person tried to help Candice LeRae win the NXT Women’s Championship but Io Shirai was able to overcome the interference to retain her title.
Meltzer said, “I was told none of the TV people tested positive. There were people who are quarantined. The only name that I know that was booked on the show tonight that wasn’t there was Indi Hartwell. The person in the Scream mask that helped Candice LeRae was supposed to be Indi Hartwell and may end up being called Indi Hartwell because she never unmasked. The idea was for her to unmask as Indi Hartwell. She wasn’t there, it was somebody else under the thing. So she I know was quarantined and there may have been one other. I was told that most of the people who quarantined, but not all, were people who had not made television.”
Meltzer noted that there are a lot of people concerned about the recent outbreak. One person who was at the training center was not told on Friday about the outbreak. Others felt that they should have been told by the company instead of hearing from the rumor mill.
