Identity Of The WWE SmackDown Attacker Revealed

The “masked man” saga that has plagued The Vision took a confusing turn on the February 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. During a main event where Logan Paul faced Jacob Fatu for a vacated spot in the Elimination Chamber, the mysterious figure emerged once again to target the faction. Unlike previous encounters where the attacker successfully ambushed members like Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, Paul managed to prevent the interference and unmask the individual.

The unmasking revealed a stranger to the fans, later identified by PWInsider and Fightful as independent wrestler Donovan Izzolena, also known as “The Magnificent Don Furio.” Furio is a student at Seth Rollins’ Black & Brave Wrestling Academy, leading to speculation that this individual was merely a decoy. Reports from Fightful Select indicate that WWE has been forced into “heavy rewrites” for the masked man storyline following the legitimate injury to Bronson Reed earlier this week.

Reed successfully underwent surgery on Friday to repair a torn distal biceps suffered during a qualifying match on Monday Night Raw. The injury occurred when Reed landed awkwardly while attempting to break up a pinfall. “Surgery done. Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back,” Reed shared on Instagram following the procedure. Reed was originally scheduled to win his qualifying match, but the injury forced a pivot to Jey Uso.

The “Road to WrestleMania” took another detour on SmackDown when Jey Uso was found ambushed backstage and loaded into an ambulance, removing him from the Chamber match. This led General Manager Nick Aldis to book the Paul vs. Fatu qualifier. Paul ultimately secured the win—and his spot in the Chamber—after Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre interfered and struck Fatu with the title belt while the referee was distracted by the unmasking chaos.

Logan Paul now joins Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match this Saturday in Chicago. The winner will earn the right to challenge McIntyre at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
