One of the things you can usually expect from the Royal Rumble match is something unexpected. With the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match taking place at the upcoming Philadelphia pay-per-view event, it’s easy to see how WWE could pull off more than a couple surprises this time.
Laurel Van Ness is the current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion but reports are she’ll be exiting the company soon. Apparently, she asked for her release during the last set of television tapings but they put the Knockouts Title on her anyway after she won a brutal contest against Rosemary.
But if LVN is planning to drop her Impact Wrestling Championship sooner than later, it could present an interesting opportunity. The current top of the Impact Knockouts Division recently posted to Twitter announcing she was looking for a place to apply her craft from January 26th-28th. This is a very interesting time to mention seeing how the Royal Rumble is on January 28th and NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia is occurring on the night before.
Plenty of people have commented giving her some good indie promotions she could call, but a few have also thrown out some obvious Royal Rumble comments as well. Only time will tell if we’ll be seeing Laurel Van Ness/ Chelsea Green make an entrance during the Royal Rumble. But the Philly crowd would certainly know who she is and give her an outstanding reaction if she did make her debut to kick off the Road To WrestleMania.
Just had Jan 26-28 open up!!
What companies are running?!?
