PWInsider is reporting that Women’s Tag Team Champion Carmella is working through an injury.
It was noted that she has been booked in a way to minimize the physicality in her matches and segments because of the injury. This would explain why she never tagged in during the Raw tag match against Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.
PWI added that previous appearances in recent weeks have been produced in a way to limit her physical involvement while Zelina Vega does much of the work in their matches. Carmella did not work on the Holiday house shows after Christmas.
It was also noted that Carmella has received praise backstage for continuing to gut things out and doing as much as she can despite the restrictions.
The nature of the injury is unknown. Best wishes to her on a speedy recovery.
