Indie Wrestler Hired By WWE As Writers’ Assistant

WWE has made an interesting hire on the creative side of the company.

The hire

Indie wrestler Patrick Scott has been hired by WWE after working on the independent scene. He worked his farewell match for Premier Wrestling Federation at their Goodbye Crystal Coast event this past weekend after he put over Bojack in a Loser Leaves Town match.

Scott previously worked as an enhancement talent for NXT in 2017 and 2018 and worked for PWF and Deadlock Pro-Wrestling on the indies.

Role

Scott confirmed on social media that he’s been hired by WWE to work as a writers’ assistant, something that was first reported on Sunday by Bodyslam.net.

“Yesterday, I left NC as an independent wrestler. Today, I woke up in CT as an employee of @WWE,” Scott wrote. “I have much more to say, but Twitter’s character limit is telling me to take it home. To every single person who has supported me in my 10+ year career, THANK YOU.”

His profile noted he will be an assistant on the SmackDown brand, where he will help support members of the creative team with their responsibilities.
