WWE held an NXT live event on Saturday night in Fort Pierce, FL, where a notable name made an appearance despite being on the sidelines.
That star was Cora Jade, who will be sidelined for the next several months, likely a year, as she had her match stopped due to an injury while challenging Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Title in January at an NXT live event in the main event.
The top star suffered a knee injury, causing the match to be stopped. The referee and doctors checked on her before helping her to the back. She is on the shelf with a torn ACL.
At the event, Jade came out to do a promo about how she is still months away from returning but did call out NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez to make it clear that when she does return, she will be coming after her and the title that she holds.
Hope @roxanne_wwe heard @CoraJadeWWE loud and clear… that title will be hers! #NXTFortPierce pic.twitter.com/ZdBPbMrd5F

I'm gonna say this before I'm asked.
She is nowhere near ready. https://t.co/yj8udYEwx2
