Stephanie Vaquer is expected back on WWE TV in the very near term, according to a new PWInsider Elite report indicating creative discussions around her return have been picking up over the last week.
Internal conversations have specifically pointed to the possibility of Vaquer appearing on this coming Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, which emanates from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC. Nothing has been formally announced. The expectation is that her return is a near-term creative target rather than a fixed date.
The update marks a change from the messaging that surrounded Vaquer in the immediate wake of her shoulder injury. WrestleVotes Radio reported on Fightful Select last month that no return date for Vaquer was widely known inside the company and that internal rumblings had pointed to a minimum six-week absence, though that figure was described as speculative. There was optimism she could be back for SummerSlam, with no guarantee.
Vaquer was written off WWE TV on the April 27 episode of Raw in a backstage segment in which Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, acting alongside Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, attacked her. Roxanne Perez rammed an equipment box directly into Vaquer’s shoulder during the segment, and Michael Cole announced on commentary that Vaquer had suffered a second-degree AC sprain and would be out for a bit. Bryan Alvarez of F4W confirmed the injury was legitimate. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the injury was real and that the planned Vaquer-Morgan match for Backlash on May 9 in Tampa had to be pulled as a result.
The origin of the AC sprain has not been confirmed, with the possibility existing that the injury predated the Raw angle and that the attack was designed to write Vaquer off TV in a way that could be put into the Vaquer-Morgan program upon her return. Bodyslam reported that the WrestleMania 42 night one match in which Vaquer dropped the Women’s World Championship to Morgan was kept shorter than originally planned because both wrestlers were dealing with physical issues heading into the show. The match ran under seven minutes.
Vaquer’s title reign as Women’s World Champion lasted 210 days, beginning when she defeated Iyo Sky for the vacant championship at Wrestlepalooza on September 20, 2025.
