SPOILER: WWE Star Is Expected To Return At Survivor Series

Liv Morgan appears to be making significant progress in her rehabilitation from a shoulder injury and may be ready to return to WWE action sooner than initially expected. Fightful Select reports that they can confirm there has been internal discussion about Liv Morgan’s return.

PWInsider.com reports Morgan is scheduled to make her WWE storyline return tonight. Morgan recently filmed material for the Wrestlemania 42 commercial in NYC. It was added that “Initial expectations from WWE sources expected Morgan back towards the start of 2026 after her surgery to repair the injury, but we are told she was able to beat expectations through her physical rehab.”

Beating Expectations After Serious Surgery

Morgan has been sidelined since dislocating and separating her shoulder during a Raw match against Kairi Sane on June 16, 2025. The injury occurred when Morgan landed awkwardly after Sane ducked under a kick, forcing a premature end to the bout and requiring surgery. Initial recovery timelines suggested she would be out of action for five to six months, placing her return sometime in early 2026, just ahead of WrestleMania 42 season.

However, the latest reports indicate that her physical rehabilitation has allowed her to beat those expectations. Morgan wasn’t featured in the recently released WrestleMania 42 promotional video.

Storyline Impact and The Judgment Day Dynamic

Morgan’s absence had a ripple effect throughout the Women’s Division and specifically within the Judgment Day faction, which she joined in August 2024. Her injury not only nixed planned feuds with Nikki Bella and IYO SKY, but also led to her having to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, which she held with Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne Perez was adopted as Rodriguez’s new tag partner, inheriting the championship as a result.
