In an update on the situation with Xavier Woods, his injury is said to be bad.
Although WWE is reporting an Achilles injury and not saying it’s a tear, the word going around backstage at WWE (via Dave Meltzer) is that it is a tear and his injury will require a long recovery time.
As previously noted, Woods was running the ropes during a match at the live event in Sydney, Austalia and then he collapsed. The referee called for help with the “X” gesture and Woods was helped to the back.
Essentially, this injury will keep him out for the rest of this year and fans shouldn’t expect him back on TV until the first quarter of 2020, possibly in time for WrestleMania in Tampa.
