Interesting idea being considered for NXT TakeOver and WWE Hall Of Fame, potential plans for Raw/SmacDown tapings

As noted earlier, WWE has moved WrestleMania from Raymond James Stadium to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and the event will take place with no fans in attendance.

WWE did not say what the plans are for the Hall Of Fame ceremony and NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay. However, WWE French Commentator and historian/author Pat Laprade shed some light on some unique plans for those shows.

Laprade noted that the big rumor backstage is that WWE will move NXT TakeOver to the Wednesday before WrestleMania. This is a big deal for WWE because it gives them a very strong card to go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite. All AEW shows will also be taking place in front of no fans on a closed set for the foreseeable future.

Laprade also noted that the Hall Of Fame speeches could be added to Raw and SmackDown. Given that WWE does not want to put on too much wrestling in an empty building since the angles don’t come across as well as they would in front of fans, spreading the HOF speeches throughout Raw and SmackDown would give them content to fill up the shows. Last week’s SmackDown featured the Women’s Elimination Chamber and this week’s Raw featured the entire Men’s Royal Rumble match. Both shows were limited to just a couple of matches.

There is one more thing to consider for the Hall Of Fame inductions. Some of the Hall Of Fame inductees may have issues getting to Orlando. The Bella Twins are pregnant and they may take extra caution by avoiding flying during the coronavirus outbreak. Jushin “Thunder” Liger may have issues getting to (or leaving) the United States, especially if there is a full-blown national lockdown.

Dave Meltzer reported today that while they only filmed one show this week (the live Raw at the PC), there is talk of filming multiple shows on one day. So we could see multiple episodes of Raw and Smackdown filmed on the same day and spread out over a couple of weeks as the build for WrestleMania.

Since there are no fans and a limited staff at the PC, they might have less to worry about regarding spoilers getting out.
