On a night where there has been so much speculation as to whether CM Punk would return to WWE despite countless reports of the company not being interested in bringing him back, there was a notable name backstage in Chicago at the show, and no, it’s not Punk.
The name
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Stephanie McMahon was at the show, which is interesting as she walked away from WWE this past January when she resigned as Chairwoman and co-CEO of WWE.
She announced in the summer of 2022 that she was taking a leave of absence from WWE, only to return after her father, Vince McMahon, went on hiatus due to his hush money scandal and resigned from his WWE duties.
Stephanie left WWE after Vince voted himself back, alongside George Barrios and Michelle Wilson, to the Board Of Directors. Vince later agreed for WWE to be acquired by Endeavor and has since merged with the UFC to form the TKO Holdings Group.
The report noted that Stephanie was hanging out and visiting and was not there in a work capacity. They had not heard of her being around much outside of Wrestlemania weekend.
