WWE has been pitching various names around to possibly use them for the Royal Rumble whether that is for the men’s or women’s Royal Rumble matches this Saturday night.
Fightful Select reports Kairi Sane’s name has been pitched as a possible Royal Rumble entrant. It has yet to be confirmed whether WWE plans to go forward with using Sane for the match.
Sane’s WWE contract is slated to expire in February. Sane had publicly given the impression that she wasn’t going to renew her deal as removed “WWE” from her Instagram handle.
As previously reported, WWE wanted to renew her deal with the idea for her to make an in-ring return, but Sane wasn’t interested in living in the United States again. Sane stopped wrestling in 2020 to return to Japan to be with her husband and had worked in an ambassador role for the company.
