Rusev’s recent return to WWE programming has reportedly been met with enthusiasm behind the scenes.
According to PWInsider.com, the internal reaction to the Bulgarian star’s comeback has been notably warm. The report adds that numerous members of the WWE talent roster have already voiced interest in potentially working storylines or matches with Rusev down the line.
Rusev returned to WWE after a five-year absence on the April 21, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw. He did so when he interrupted an in-ring confrontation between the new World Tag Team Champions, The New Day, and Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa).
He laid out Otis and Toazawa to end the segment. He is slated to work Otis in a singles match next week on Raw.
