Internal Reaction WWE WrestleMania 42 Being Moved

The relocation of WrestleMania 42 from New Orleans in 2026 has WWE fans talking about where the event could go. While WWE clarified to Fightful that a future New Orleans WrestleMania is part of a larger deal, Fightful Select reports many WWE employees and staff were initially “shocked” by the news.

One talent noted that with no new venue yet officially announced, this marks “one of the latest announcements for Mania in recent memory.”

Most talent, however, are reportedly “largely unfazed,” as WWE typically manages their travel and logistics for major event weeks. The current WWE leadership is said to be “much more apt to waiting to announce any number of shows, and are open to changes if the revenue generated is a significant increase.”

The sudden move has caused “immediate frustration within the industry,” particularly as sources indicated that Wrestlecon had already secured its New Orleans venue contract for the 2026 event.

NOLA.com claimed that WrestleMania 42 is “headed to Las Vegas.” Fightful received similar intimations from someone formerly connected to WWE. Current expectations are for a date change, with early indications suggesting WWE is “closing in on Allegiant Stadium for April 18-19,” although the Las Vegas deal is reportedly not yet finalized.
