Internal WWE Reactions To Vince McMahon’s Car Accident

In the wake of the three-vehicle car accident involving Vince McMahon, a new report has revealed that the former WWE Chairman’s driving has long been a topic of concern among his close associates and employees.

An ‘Erratic Driver’ For Decades

According to a report from Fightful, longtime employees and those close to Vince McMahon claimed that it was a “joke, but serious,” issue within the company for many years that he was an “erratic driver.” The report notes that this reputation has been the case for decades, to the point where some in his inner circle would intentionally not ride with him when offered a lift.

He ‘Always Enjoyed Driving Himself’

The report also refuted speculation that McMahon typically uses a driver. One source close to McMahon told Fightful that he has “always enjoyed driving himself,” especially when not on the road with WWE. That same source stated their belief that driving makes McMahon feel “grounded,” while also joking about the irony of that feeling while driving a car that costs $250,000.

These backstage stories about his driving habits come after McMahon was issued a misdemeanor summons by Connecticut State Police following the July 24 accident. He is facing charges of Reckless Driving and Following Too Closely Resulting in an Accident, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26, 2025.
