Ron Simmons and Ahmed Johnson have had well-documented issues in the past, but Simmons confirmed on The Wrestling Classic podcast that the two have buried the hatchet.
Host Justin Dhillon brought up a recent photograph of the two former rivals together. “I saw a picture of you and Ahmed Johnson, have you guys made amends? Is everything good now, from all the things,” Dhillon asked.
“Man, look, there are differences that we’ve had, which happens in this business, right?” Simmons responded. “Look, it’s been time to set that stuff aside and let it go.”
Simmons cited the unfortunate reality of losing so many peers in the wrestling business as a primary motivator for making peace.
“You know, look, the track record with us right now, man, as everybody knows, not good,” Simmons said. “You know, with us, leaving, losing a lot of friends and everything. Look so hey, why not? Let’s be on the same page with everything and enjoy these days.”
Simmons concluded by stating that things are good between them and they have reconnected over shared interests. “And know, and it’s good to talk with my brother and get back to talking about some things that we love, yeah, and that’s just fitness and other things in life. So, yeah, so everything’s good.”
