Glenn Jacobs (WWE Superstar) Kane is officially the Republican nominee for the general election in August. He is expected to win in August because that part of the country leans heavily towards Republicans. So, unless something major happens to cause an upset, it looks likely that Kane will become the Mayor of Knox County.
The final vote count was made official on Thursday because there were 43 provisional ballots that needed to be counted when results came in on Tuesday. Jacobs’ opponent, Brad Anders, congratulated him on his victory.

Jacobs has not appeared on WWE television since the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania Kickoff show. He was originally scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble show but pulled out because he wanted to get back on the campaign trail ahead of Tuesday’s primary vote.
Jacobs took time to thank his opponents. “Thank you, @andersbrad and @BobThomasKNOX. You ran good, clean campaigns. We all appreciate your many contributions to Knox County, and look forward to your future contributions to our community. To families and supporters of @andersbrad and @BobThomasKNOX, you should be proud of your guy. They’re both fine men and represented you very well in this campaign. Thank you for all of your hard work and your dedication to making Knox County even better!”
Provisional ballots are counted… I'm proud to be the official Republican nominee for Knox County mayor! Thanks to the @knoxvotes for your exemplary work and ensuring an open and transparent process.
