WWE fans were stunned when they witnessed IYO SKY’s victory on Monday’s WWE Raw. It was also a historic achievement. She went over Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship in the main event.
As a result, SKY secured her first reign and etched her name into wrestling history. She is now the first woman to achieve a Grand Slam in two major promotions, having held gold in WWE and STARDOM.
She held every available championship, becoming the promotion’s inaugural Grand Slam Champion. She is now a WWE Grand Slam Champion. She becomes the seventh woman to achieve this milestone of a Grand Slam Champion.
She follows Charlotte Flair, Mercedes Mone, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Ripley, and Asuka. To do so, a star has to win the Raw/Women’s Championship, the SmackDown/Women’s World Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Now, SKY is set to defend her title against Bianca Belair, the 2025 Women’s Elimination Chamber winner, at WrestleMania 41.
IYO SKY is the 7th women's grandslam champion in WWE and makes history as the first women's grandslam in both WWE and Japan!
