Former WWE Superstar Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) joined the WINCLY podcast to discuss a wide range of topics including if WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon congratulated him after his MMA debut.
He made his pro-MMA debut when he beat J.W. Kiser by first-round arm triangle choke on the main card of Bellator 214. This fight that took place on January 26, 2019, at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Paramount Network and DAZN.
"Yea he sent me a $10,000 check congratulating me," joked Swagger. "I tore it up and said 'This is chump change, Vince.' I sent him a video tearing up the check… I'm just kidding [laughs]. No, we haven't had a chance to speak, but telepathically I feel his well wishes."
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion already has his next fight booked as he’ll take on T.J. Jones (1-1) at the upcoming Bellator 221 event. The show goes down on May 11th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and will air on DAZN.
