Jacob Fatu Defends Jey Uso From Critics: ‘Shut The Hell Up. Just Enjoy The Show’

Jacob Fatu has a message for the critics of “Main Event” Jey Uso. While appearing on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast with Matt Camp and TJ Jefferson, Fatu addressed the online backlash surrounding Jey’s qualification for the 2026 men’s Elimination Chamber match. Earlier this week, an official WWE YouTube video of Jey’s victory in the final qualifying triple-threat match received over 21,000 dislikes, signaling a vocal divide within the fanbase.

Fatu, a member of the current Bloodline (often referred to as The MFTs) on SmackDown, dismissed the negativity as a byproduct of social media. He noted that while critics may complain about Jey’s current “Yeet” character, many were likely supporters of the Usos during their historic tag team dominance. Fatu urged fans to stop over-analyzing the product and simply appreciate the entertainment value of the show.

“That’s what this is—entertainment. But man, come on, y’all. Don’t be hot over Jey yeeting, because let’s be real, y’all might have been yeeting with him too in his earlier days.”

Fatu later added, Enjoy the show. Man, just shut the hell up. Just enjoy the show. Listen, obviously you keep watching it, right? If you’re complaining, you’re watching. Man, just chill, bro. Just chill. Enjoy the show, okay? Obviously, if you’re complaining about him yeeting, that means you’re watching him yeeting.”

TJ Jefferson echoed Fatu’s sentiments, pointing out the disconnect between online complaints and the live arena reactions. Despite the high number of dislikes on YouTube, Jey Uso continues to receive some of the loudest crowd reactions in the company, with his signature “Yeet” arm motions becoming a staple of every city WWE visits. Jefferson argued that if the audience were truly tired of the act, Jey wouldn’t be in a position to “run it back” at the top of the card.

The match saw an audible called mid-contest after Bronson Reed suffered a legitimate distal bicep tear while attempting to break up a pinfall. Reed, who was reportedly scheduled to win the match and move on to the Chamber, had to be replaced as the planned creative direction shifted in real-time. Jey capitalized on the situation, pinning El Grande Americano to secure the final spot in the six-man structure.

Uso is set to travel to Chicago this Saturday for the Elimination Chamber. He will be locked inside the steel cage alongside Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans. The winner of the match will earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, currently held by Drew McIntyre, at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
