Jacob Fatu has nothing but respect for Drew McIntyre after their WrestleMania 42 Unsanctioned match, despite coming out on top.
Speaking with Daniel Cormier following his night one victory at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Fatu gave McIntyre his flowers for pushing him to another level during their physically brutal encounter.
“I’m not going to sit here and sugarcoat anything. I do want to give a shout out because I feel like he brought the dog out of me no matter what it was, you know? Drew McIntyre ain’t no regular guy. He’s a beast, you know? So it might sound weird, but shout out to Drew, though, for bringing the dog out of me yesterday, man,” Fatu said.
Fatu defeated McIntyre in the Unsanctioned match on night one of WrestleMania 42, picking up one of the most significant wins of his main roster career to date. The victory followed his WrestleMania 42 night two appearance as well, where he called out new World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at the post-show, setting up what could be a major program later in the year.
