Jacob Fatu has given fans a closer look at the new tattoo he got ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Fatu was first spotted with the new ink during his match against Tama Tonga on the April 10 edition of SmackDown, where fans noticed fresh artwork on the outside of his left arm. Tattoo artist Michael Fatutoa, known on Instagram as @samoan_mike, has since shared a video revealing the full piece. The tattoo wraps around Fatu’s existing “Journey” tattoo on his left arm.
Fatu is preparing for one of the biggest matches of his career at WrestleMania 42, where he faces Drew McIntyre in an Unsanctioned Match. The bout is scheduled to take place during the first hour of WrestleMania Saturday on April 18, which will air on ESPN 2 as part of WWE’s new broadcast partnership. Logan Paul, Austin Theory and IShowSpeed vs. LA Knight, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso is also confirmed for that opening ESPN 2 window, meaning one of the two matches will officially open the entire WrestleMania 42 event.
The Unsanctioned Match format gives both Fatu and McIntyre latitude in terms of what they can do inside the ring, and with the match serving as one of the first things casual ESPN viewers will see heading into the show, it carries added weight as an advertisement for the rest of the weekend.
Jacob Fatu just got a new tattoo and it looks incredible.
