Jade Cargill: ‘I Get Paid By The Match, Not By The Second’

Jade Cargill has set her sights on reclaiming the WWE Women’s Championship at Clash in Italy on May 31, telling ESPN First Take that she has learned from her WrestleMania 42 loss to Rhea Ripley and is going for the kill shot this time around.

Cargill lost the Women’s Championship to Ripley on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

“It is, it is. But you know, you learn from these moments, and they make you tougher. I was playing with my food, and I should have just struck when I was hot. So, we’ve learned from it, and this Sunday at Clash in Italy I’m taking that title back home with me.”

She added, “I was too into the crowd. The crowd was feeling me, they were booing me, and I was just blinded by the lights. This time, I’m just going in for the kill shot. I’m not going to sit there and play with my food, and my girls know now to listen to me. So, the mission is there. I know what I’m going to do. Nobody’s going to stop me, and let’s just make this quick and short. I get paid by the match, not by the second.”

The full Clash in Italy card includes Cody Rhodes vs GUNTHER for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship, Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi, Becky Lynch defending the Women’s IC Title against Sol Ruca, and Ripley vs Cargill for the Women’s Championship.

If Cargill wins at Clash in Italy, the championship would return to her for a second reign.
