Jade Cargill has opened up about her transition from AEW to WWE, stating in a new interview that she was met with “love” from the women’s locker room upon her arrival.
‘It Was Love’
Speaking on the Club 520 podcast, Cargill, who was the first homegrown AEW talent to make the jump to WWE, discussed the reception she received from her new colleagues. She said that rather than any animosity, the women were welcoming and eager to work with her.
“It was love. They wanted to work with me,” Cargill said. “They know that. They knew that I came here to get better, and they knew that I came here to be a legend, like there’s nothing else.”
A Desire To Be A ‘Legend’
Cargill explained that the other women understood her ambition and shared her goal of elevating the entire division. “There’s no other place I’m going to become a legend. They want to help as much as they can because they want to do nothing but elevate the locker room,” she said.
Cargill’s positive experience in the WWE locker room has culminated in a rapid ascent to the top of the women’s division. At SummerSlam Night One this past Saturday, she lost to Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
