WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts recently spoke with The Huffington Post to promote his Unspoken Word tour. During the interview, Roberts was asked about his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2014. "It wasn't at all what I expected," Roberts admitted. He stated that he thought it would be more about wrestling, but it was more about healing between a man and his family. He added that he'd never forget it and is grateful to the McMahons for allowing him the opportunity.
Roberts thought that he did everything to not get inducted into the Hall of Famer due to his mistakes with substance abuse. However, WWE forgave him, and he can never thank them enough for that. “The McMahon family put me through several rehabs. They didn't work, but they got me closer to being better.”
Roberts noted that working with DDP and getting his life back on track was the right mixture of things at the time. He encouraged anybody who is struggling to never give up because when you find the right formula, it will be worth it.
