Janel Grant Wins Key Ruling Against Dr. Colker In WWE-Related Case

A Connecticut state court judge has denied Dr. Carlon Colker’s motion to dismiss a petition filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, allowing her to proceed with seeking evidence from Colker and his Peak Wellness clinic. Grant alleges Vince McMahon directed her to receive treatment, including unidentified supplements and infusions, at the clinic more than sixty times between 2019 and 2022; Colker denies these claims.

This ruling enables Grant to conduct discovery, potentially obtaining documents, communications with Vince McMahon, and testimony from Colker and Peak Wellness. Colker’s attorneys had argued they already provided Grant’s team with the requested medical and billing records.

Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling clarified the legal context: “The case involving Grant and Colker is a state-level pre-suit bill of discovery action in the Connecticut Superior Court that’s separate from Grant’s federal lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis.” Thurston added this is also distinct from Colker’s federal defamation lawsuit against Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis.

This development is part of the broader situation stemming from Grant’s January 2024 federal lawsuit accusing McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking, which led to his resignation from TKO/WWE.
